Congrats to my winner-jakiesmom !
This cookbook is full of quirky art deco posters, unusual descriptions and fabulous recipes. You'll love browsing through the cookbook, dreaming of all the yummy food and smiling at the illustrations and descriptions. As I mentioned, there are 65 recipes in this cookbook, ranging from morning chocolate recipes, to chocolate pies, to chocolate drinks and chocolate cookies, to name a few.
My parents are visiting this week, and doing a great job of entertaining my small children, so I had time to really go through this book and pick my favorite recipe to try out. I opted to make the recipe called "My very own honey pie manifest". It was actually really easy to make, and I even had most of the ingredients in my house already. It turned out deliciously- like a dark chocolate pecan pie. My family keeps sneaking in the kitchen and getting "just one more little piece". Even my husband really liked it, and he's not a big fan of sweets.
This is a wonderful cookbook for the chocolate lover in your life, or for anyone who's looking for some great new, and unusual dessert ideas.
