Review: ZarBee's Children's Cough Syrup

My husband is a huge believer in visiting the doctor or taking medicine for every illness that pops up in his life. I blame the fact that he is Canadian and grew up with free medical care :)  So it's been unbelievably frustrating for him to go through these last two years of watching Ethan catch colds and not be able to do anything beyond turning on the humidifier and giving Tylenol for fevers.

Thanks to my involvement at the Product Review Place, I received a bottle of a new cough syrup for children, called ZarBee's Children's Cough Syrup. It's currently available in naturally flavored lemon or cherry. I received the lemon flavor, and since Ethan is (for once) not currently coughing, I tested it out myself on my dry throat.  I liked the taste of this cough syrup a lot, it tasted like lemon-flavored honey, with no medicinal taste at all. And it was very soothing on my throat.  ZarBees is made from a blend of dark honey, vitamins and other all natural ingredients and is totally drug-free.  And it contains over 100% of the daily value of vitamin C for children!

I'm really glad to have this in my medicine cabinet now that cold and flu season is upon us. Ethan's getting his two-year molars and spends most of his time with his hands in his mouth, so I suspect that even my best attempts at handwashing are only going to keep us healthy for a little while longer! And I know it's going to make my husband really happy that he can actually do something now when Ethan is coughing- it'll make them both feel better at once!

**This product contains honey, which should NEVER be given to children under a year of age, so it's not suitable for those little ones.

You can buy ZarBee's cough syrup online for $9.99 for a 4 fl. oz bottle. It's also available in a number of grocery and drug stores.

Disclaimer: I was provided a bottle of ZarBees so that I could test it for myself for this review. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions here are mine and mine alone.
