Review: Cloud B Twilight Turtle
After hearing rave reviews about the products from Cloud B, particularly the Twilight Turtle, I contacted the company to see if they were interested in working with me on a review. They offered me a nice media discount, and a few days later I was about to place the order when... I got an email from a blog I follow, Life Starring the Kids and Me, letting me know that I had won a great prize package, including a Cloud B Twilight Turtle! Perfect timing!
We were really excited to get this. Even in the box, the turtle is really cute, and Ethan was excited when we put it in his room. It was hard waiting for darkness to fall that night! Fortunately (in this case), we live in Seattle where it's pretty much totally dark by about 4 PM these days, so we didn't have to wait too long. We turned off the light, pressed the button to turn on the turtle and his walls and ceiling were covered in bright blue stars! The Twilight Turtle also has the option of displaying the stars and moon in green or amber, so you can change colors depending on your kid's mood that day.
Ethan loves to lie in his bed and watch the stars. The stars are very bright and the turtle manages to cover most of the room with stars, so no matter where he looks, he has something to see. I think this has really helped him stay in bed and stay quiet on the nights when he's less convinced than we are that it should be bedtime. The turtle has a 45 minute timer and then automatically shuts off, so Daniel and I don't have to use our limited remaining brainpower to remember to turn it off.
For older kids, the turtle comes with a star guide, to help you find the 8 constellations that the turtle displays! How cool is that? And SO much easier than putting up those glow-in-the-dark sticky stars.
In addition to the turtle that we reviewed, there's also an adorable Twilight Ladybug and a Twilight SeaTurtle. Cloud B also has several cute animals that are sound machines, including a Gentle Giraffe and a Sleep Sheep. Everything is just so huggable and cute- you can see all the options here.
The Twilight Turtle that we have sells for $34 each or 2 for $65. This may seem a little high for a kid's toy, but this is something that is meant for those ages 2 to adult, so it's something your child can use and enjoy for a very long time! And I think this would be a wonderful gift for you aunts and uncles and grandparents to get for the little ones in your life- something that mom and dad might not have on their list right now, but something that everyone will love!
Stay tuned for my review of the other great Cloud B product that I won!
