Since this past Christmas was my daughter Vivian's first Christmas, Daniel and I wanted to get her a fun present from us. But we also didn't want to spend much, and we already have lots of baby toys leftover from when Ethan was a baby. So I spent weeks asking opinions and trying to get ideas for what to get her. Then I ran across the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Say Please Tea Set, and knew I'd found the perfect gift!
As with most families, we own lots of Fisher-Price toys and have never been disappointed. This one lived up to the Fisher-Price reputation! It's meant for ages 6 months-36 months, which is another thing we really liked. Anytime you can get a toy that a kid will continue to enjoy as they get older, that's a great thing!
Vivian loved the teaset from the beginning, trying to pick up the cups and cake (she's my daughter for sure!). She stared at us with big eyes when we would tip the teapot and it would talk to her or play music. The surprise about this toy was that Ethan (who is almost 2 1/2) loves it even more than Vivian did! It's by far his favorite toy in the house right now. The main problem is getting him to share it with Vivian!
This teaset does a lot for such a little toy- it plays music, has sound effects, and introduces numbers, shapes and opposites. I know it's going to be a favorite toy in our house for many years to come! You can purchase this toy at pretty much any store or online, I've seen it many places. It generally sells for $15-18.
