Review: Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream
My baby daughter, Vivian, is a happy, good-natured baby 99% of the time. But last week her eczema had gotten so bad and spread over so much of her body that even she was having a hard time smiling and laughing. In the 6 months or so that this has been an issue, we've tried lots of different lotions on her, with varying results. One of the ones that I reviewed here a while back worked well, but it is one that I used up and then neglected to re-order before this latest bad eczema flare-up. Other lotions have also helped with her milder eczema, but they weren't able to help this last time when things got so bad.
So I packed up the kids in the stroller and walked over to the drugstore, determined to find something that would actually help. We've used Aveeno products in the past and have liked them, so when I saw the Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream on the counter, which said that it "soothes and relieves dry skin, even dry skin from eczema", I immediately put it in my basket.
I wish I had taken before and after pictures of Vivian's skin. I just didn't expect anything to work as well as this lotion did, especially when her skin was so horribly red and dry. I probably only used it on her twice the first day before we could see a noticeable improvement, and within another day, the redness was gone. We've been using it for a week now, and you can hardly even tell that she has any dry skin issues.
I know these things work differently on different people, but if you have a baby with eczema, I'd really suggest giving this lotion a try if you haven't already.
