First off, I'd just like to say that the Episencial products are about the cutest things I've ever seen in the baby/child skin care category. I was lucky enough to receive a box of 4 of the bath and body products and I just couldn't help but smile as I took each bottle out of the box.
It's the Hungry Caterpillar!!!
Seriously, how cute is that packaging! Happily, we remained equally as pleased with the products after we opened the bottles and used them for bath night. I was sent four of the products from the Episencial line- the Playful Foaming Wash, the Sweet Dreams Bubble Bath, the Better Body Butter, and the Protective Face Balm. For bath night we used the first three products, the wash, bubble bath and body butter. I liked all of the products and thought they did a great job at getting the kids all clean and smelling nice again.
The foaming wash is a dual-purpose cleanser, suitable for hair and body. This is a must for kid bath products, in my opinion. I have too much going on during bath time to be juggling multiple bottles as well. The bubble bath made nice bubbles for the kids to play with, but it didn't leave any soapy residue on them. Another must in my opinion!
The body butter surprised me a little- I was expecting a thicker lotion, since that's what I usually think of when I see "body butter". It's not much different, consistency-wise, from other lotions that we've used, but we were happy with it just the same. It went on easily and wasn't greasy. As with all of the Episencial products, the lotion does not have any fragrances in it, just some fruit juice extracts. The fruit smell in all of the products is extremely subtle- enough to smell nice, but definitely not strong.
The fourth product that we received, the Protective Face Balm, also impressed me a lot. We've had some face balms for the kids in the past, and they've always been really messy. This balm is a thick lotion, but again, it's not greasy or smelly. It is easy to put on and rubs in nicely.
Other important things to know about all of the Episencial products- they're free of synthetic chemicals, made with all natural ingredients and lots of organics, they contain fruit juice extracts rather than fragrances, and the packaging is made from recycled and sustainable materials. Oh, and they are manufactured under solar power!
