Review: Boudreaux's Rash Protector, a new product from the makers of Boudreaux's Butt Paste!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

I distinctly remember walking around a baby superstore when I was pregnant with Ethan and being overwhelmed by all the options of things to buy for my little baby. And I also distinctly remember walking by the baby skin care aisle and seeing Boudreaux's Butt Paste on the shelf and stopping to giggle a little over the name. I hadn't actually ever tried out any of the Boudreaux's products, however, until this week.

Vivian has been struggling a lot lately with diaper rash- we try to keep her clean and dry and change her often, but the rash just keeps coming back.  So we've been going through lots of different tubes of diaper rash cream. They all have worked well, but they all require me getting my hands covered with rash cream and having to try to juggle a wiggly baby while also not smearing the residual diaper cream on her clothes or my clothes or anything else nearby.

So I was really excited to see that the newest product from Boudreaux's comes in a spray can.  This is another "why didn't someone think of this earlier!" moment.  The can contains Boudreaux's Rash Protector daily skin protectant. It's designed to be used daily to help prevent and protect against diaper rash.  It contains Peruvian Balsam and other things like aloe oil extract and shea liquid.  You just press a button on the top and a clear liquid mist comes out to cover your baby's little bottom and help seal out wetness. You can use it at each diaper change, but they recommend it especially for times when exposure to a wet diaper may be prolonged.

The first time I used this on Vivian she was a little confused, but she didn't seem to mind the mist.  I thought it went on easily (although you do need to be sure to press the button all the way down, or else it doesn't spray right), and I loved that I didn't have to get diaper rash cream on my hands.  And, since we've been using it, Vivian hasn't had a return of the diaper rash. My only objection to this rash protector is that I really dislike the smell. I tend to be overly sensitive to smells though, and my husband said that he didn't hate it.  The smell issue isn't enough to stop me from using this product and it's definitely something that I will continue to use in the future.
