Lately Daniel's really been a fan of this review blog- mostly because he's been getting to eat so much great food! He discovered another new favorite last week when I brought home a bag of Farm Rich Mini Quesadilla Slices. For purposes of this review, I also sampled one- big mistake, as I immediately wanted to eat many, many more!
The quesadilla slices didn't look like I expected, but this was a pleasant surprise. Instead of cheese leaking out the sides, as on most quesadillas, the entire thing is neatly encased in tortilla-style crust. Inside the crust is a blend of Mozzarella, Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, along with grilled white-meat chicken. Daniel liked that the quesadilla slices weren't too spicy- just had a nice hint of spice.
At 260 calories for two slices, these are a bit caloric for me, given that I'm trying to lose weight from my first pregnancy still (yes, losing weight from baby #1 when baby #2 is almost a year old!). But my ultra-skinny husband loved them, so I will purchase them again for him to have on hand for a quick snack or to throw in his lunch bag for work.
