Life these days is busy for my family- and pretty much every other family that I know. Between jobs and playdates and church activities and running errands and trying to keep dirt and clutter from taking over my house... there's just not a lot of time left for other things. Like "me time"! I know this has been a problem for moms for centuries, but apparently we're getting better at balance-Dove Ice Cream Miniatures recently took a survey of 400 mothers and found that 70% were finding "me time" every day! Good job!
I've recently started making quality "me time" a priority in my life. My husband has always been very supportive and great about letting me play on the computer in the evening or read a book, but recently I decided to make my physical health more of a priority and I've started running (very, very slowly) in the mornings. This is the best "me time" I've ever had!
Another great "me time" for us moms is chocolate, of course, and Dove Ice Cream has come out with a new product that sounds delicious- Dove Ice Cream Miniatures. These are ice cream wrapped in chocolate, and each miniature is only 70 calories! The new Cafe Collection features flavors such as Java Chip and Cappuccino. Yum!
Right now Dove Ice Cream Miniatures has a contest going on, called the “My Mini Moment” contest. Dove is asking women to share their favorite moment of mini-escape. One lucky winner could win one of 3 great prizes: a mini-getaway to Napa Valley, Spa services for a year or a mini-home makeover. Women need to submit a photo and short essay to the “My Mini Moment” contest at DoveIceCream.com/myminimoment by June 7, 2010.
So, what's your mini-escape when your day gets crazy? Think about it and enter to win!
