It's a gorgeous autumn day here in Seattle- the sky is blue, the temperature is perfect and the sun is shining. Which is really, really great except for one small problem. Sunshine coming in through my windows illuminates all the things in my house that need to be cleaned. Particularly my kitchen floor.
Thankfully I recently received a great new cleaning tool- the Libman Freedom Spray Mop. I am not exaggerating when I say that half of my living room closet is occupied by floor cleaners of various shapes and sizes. But none of them have really fit my lifestyle and as a result, I don't clean my floors as often as I should. I can't remember to buy disposable pads for one, my easy-to-use steam mop broke and the new steam mop we bought is big and bulky and I am a little scared of it.
So I was really happy to get the Libman Freedom Spray Mop and I'm really liking it a lot! It's been easy to use since I took it out of the box- it came fully assembled with easy-to-follow instructions for use. It's different from other mops in that it has a tank that can be filled with whatever cleaning solution (or water) that you want to use to clean your floors. Your floors, your choice. And it has a reusable, machine- or hand-washable pad, so no more buying disposable refills. I was very impressed by how clean the pad got my floors- it's microfiber with scratch-free strips to help get the stubborn dirt off your floor. The mop can be used on pretty much any surface- wood and laminate, vinyl and linoleum, ceramic tile, marble or stone. Very versatile.
I also like how well this mop gets around. The head rotates completely, so you can easily get into all the nooks and crannies in your rooms and get all your floor clean. The spray handle is easy to work and sprays a nice amount of liquid onto your floor. I didn't feel like I was walking through puddles of liquid, but it sprayed enough to get my floor clean. And I really like that the mop isn't run by batteries or electricity. No recharging to deal with and no cords to move around while I clean or to unplug/plug in again when I switch rooms. This is a mop that is practical and easy-to-use and I think I'm going to have much cleaner floors in the future!
The mop is made in the USA by a 4th-generation family-owned company. You can find it in the mop and broom section of your local store at a suggested retail price of $19.99 to $24.99.
