As I mentioned last week, thanks to my involvement as an Infantino Test Drive Mom, I recently received a bunch of fabulous Annabel Karmel feeding products. Visit last week's post for part 1 of my review, if you missed it then! Today I'm going to talk about a few more products that I loved, from this fabulous line of baby/toddler feeding products.
The first product that I want to talk about today is the Steam Release Micro Dish.
At first I was skeptical of this product and didn't really think it was something I needed or would use. I have a steam basket that I can use to steam vegetables on the stovetop. But when I stopped and thought about it, I realized that 1) I hadn't actually located or used my steam basket for ages and 2) I was not entirely sure when my children last consumed a vegetable. So I cut up some carrots from our CSA, added a bit of water and popped the micro steam dish in the microwave for a few minutes- and within 5 minutes my kids were eating freshly steamed carrots.
I really like that this is a small dish. It's easy to store and easy to use. The valve on the top can easily be opened for cooking and then closed again for storage. With this dish I can either steam just a few vegetables for the meal that my kids are eating, or make a bigger serving and store the leftovers. It's even a great size for when I need a quick side of steamed vegetables for my own lunch! The dish can also be used to steam fruit or even fish. Perfect for getting a healthy meal on the table for your little one in a minimal amount of time.
My other favorite product from the items that I received is the set of Fill & Freeze Puree Pops.Annabel Karmel Fresh Food Mill to grind up some strawberries, added a bit of apple juice and put the filled molds in the freezer to chill. Shortly we had frozen strawberry pops! I look forward to experimenting with different flavors and combinations and coming up with creative new popsicle ideas!
Ethan loved his strawberry popsicle. The handle makes it really easy for even small hands to hang on to the treat, which means less mess for Mommy to deal with afterwards.
If you're in the market for baby/toddler feeding products, definitely take a look at this new line of feeding accessories from Infantino and Annabel Karmel. I've enjoyed using all these great products!
