We weren't sure what to expect, since this was our first show, but we could not have been more pleased. The line to get in to the venue was long, but moved quickly, and we were entertained by all of the excited kids waiting in line with us. I was amazed at how many people showed up in costume. Serious Yo Gabba Gabba! fans in Tacoma! We soon were inside and found our seats and took pictures wearing our DJ Lance paper glasses that we'd picked up on the way in.
The show got underway shortly after we got to our seats, and we enjoyed the whole show. The songs were great, the dancing and singing was fun. Everywhere we looked we could see wide-eyed kids having the time of their life. And we got to see some great dancing and singing from other parents as well! Keller Williams and Caspar Babypants (both of whom I've reviewed here on the blog) made too-brief, but still enjoyable appearances.
There was lots of audience involvement in the show- encouragement to get up and dance, requests to sing along or yell Yo Gabba Gabba!, and balloons dropping from the ceiling. I think every kid in the room who wanted a Yo Gabba Gabba! balloon got one- I was so impressed by how all the parents present made sure that all the kids around them had a balloon in hand.
If your child loves Yo Gabba Gabba! and this show makes it to your area, definitely try to go! We had a great time and Ethan's been going around saying "gabba gabba gabba" since Saturday afternoon. So I know he loved it!
