So, have you guys started working on your list of New Year's resolutions yet? Mine are pretty much ongoing ones- try to keep up with my newfound healthier eating habits and find ways to save money! One of the things that I always hear when it comes to saving money is that the little things do add up. That's so true- it's the little expenses that end up breaking my budget at the end of the month.
The same thing is true with our home energy usage- it's the little things that add up to raise our electric bills. And from what I understand, even the appliances that we turn off are still using electricity (and adding to our bill!) when they are left plugged in.
Have you ever wondered how much energy your appliances really are using? One lucky person will be able to find out for himself/herself with the Kill A Watt EZ Electricity Monitor. It's a small monitor that you plug your devices into, and it shows the cost of operating the item each day/month/year. This has a suggested retail price of $60, and seems very popular, judging by the reviews that I read on several shopping sites. This would be a great way to teach your kids about electricity usage and conserving resources!
This giveaway is being sponsored by the people at Geothermal Genius. They run a website full of information on geothermal energy and you can get your questions answered there. Wondering about geothermal cost? What about the geothermal tax credit? Visit their site to get your questions answered!
