Congrats to my winner: Living Hip Today
A few weeks ago my 3-year-old son, Ethan, learned how to turn the light on and off in his bedroom. Initially I was happy about this, because I'm all for independence. But then it dawned on me that he was too short to reach the light switch and I went into his room to check it out. And there I discovered that he had turned his flimsy plastic shape sorter box upside down, propped it on the floor near the switch, and was using it for a stepstool. Yeah, not good.
So, when I saw a review opportunity come up for the KidSwitch, I applied immediately. This is another simple, but brilliant device that makes life with little ones so much easier. The KidSwitch is a plastic light switch extension that you attach to your light switch so that your child can easily reach it and turn the lights on and off. It's made of nice, thick plastic, so it'll stand up to your little one's use of it. The thickness of the plastic also makes it as easy to push up and turn the lights on as it is to pull down to turn the lights off. And it even glows in the dark! The KidSwitch came with small screws for attaching it to the light plate, and installation only took my husband a few minutes.

The KidSwitch has won tons of awards, and I can see why. Kids want to do things for themselves, and they will find a way to do it. Anything that can help them be independent and keep them safe at the same time is a great invention! I need to get another KidSwitch for my bathroom light so that Ethan can turn that light on and off himself too! We received the KidSwitch that works on standard light switches, but you can also get a KidSwitch for the thicker, Decora light switches if that's what you have in your home.
I have good news! In my package, I was sent a second KidSwitch to share with one of you! Open to US mailing addresses only, please.
