Okay- New Year's Day is done- time to move on to the next big holiday! Valentine's Day! As I've mentioned before, Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays, but finding gifts for my husband is always a challenge. I want something simple and affordable, and something that conveys my love to Daniel!
So I was happy to get a chance to do a review for JustPaperRoses.com, since it's a site that has unique and fun gifts for Valentine's Day (and other occasions as well). The first item that I received is so much fun- the I Love You From Top To Bottom Toilet Paper!
Wouldn't that be so fun to put in the bathroom so it's the first thing your special someone sees on Valentine's Day morning? It would be fun for an anniversary or birthday celebration too- anytime you just want to say "I love you" in a different way. In addition to this "I love you..." design, JustPaperRoses offers 11 other designs- everything from "Happy Birthday" to "Happy Mother's Day"- and even toilet paper that says "Will you marry me?" Now there's an interesting way to propose!
JustPaperRoses has lots of other Valentine's Day gift ideas- origami orchids, beautiful figurines, bears, hearts, candles, and much more. My favorite is this gorgeous figurine called "The Kiss"- it's simple and elegant and romantic, all at once.
I actually have another romantic event right around the corner- my 5th wedding anniversary is at the end of February. JustPaperRoses has anniversary gifts covered too, with a really clever collection of roses called JustDeskRoses. These roses are made from the traditional material of the anniversary being celebrated- with a different rose for every year from 1-13. The traditional material for a 5th wedding anniversary is wood, so JustPaperRoses sent me a rose made out of wood! (The traditional material for a 6th anniversary is candy- I didn't know that before and am now very excited about next year!)
These wood roses are carved by hand by an Indonesian carver and then put on a stem with silk leaves. My rose came on a nice wood base, with a plaque on front that says "Happy Wood Anniversary". I'm going to send the rose to work with my husband to put on his desk. Hopefully it'll be a fun reminder for him of our wedding anniversary!
In addition to the desk version of these roses, you can also get bouquets of various sizes (for most years) and vases to display your roses in. For these roses, you can get something to celebrate each year 1-20, as well as a rose for years 25 and 50. Some of these roses come in your choices of colors (depending on the year being celebrated), and you can even get a bouquet with a rose made of your current year's material along with roses made out of all the previous years' materials as well.
So, if you're looking for a fun and creative Valentine's Day or anniversary gift, definitely stop by JustPaperRoses and see all that they have to offer. They even ship free to APO/FPO military addresses, so if there's a military person in your life to whom you'd like to send a gift, you're all set! And I have good news! One of you will win a $50 gift certificate to JustPaperRoses!
