Book review: Being Four

As a parent to a toddler and a preschooler, I'm frequently overwhelmed and exhausted by daily life.  And I don't always take the time to appreciate the fun and special joy of these years.  So I'm always glad for reminders, and this week one came in the form of a wonderful book by Kim Cormack, called Being Four. Here's a bit about the book, from a press release that I received:
Remember when every day was an adventure and the world was your playground? Embrace the joys of childhood in the exciting new children's book Being Four.
Author Kim Cormack wrote this book about her son, Cameron, detailing his hilarious and mischievous adventures just as he was turning 4 years old. The beach scenes were photographed at Rathtrever Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, which she calls the most beautiful place on the planet.
This book made me smile and it made me tear up a little bit and it made me want to go spend time with my 3 1/2 year old son and experience the world through his eyes.  The photos are lovely and the writing is beautiful. Brought together, the text and pictures perfectly capture the wonder and joy of being young. For more information on the book, or to purchase a copy, visit the author's website here

Disclosure: I received an electronic copy of this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
