Congrats to my winner: Eve
My kids have been sick for most of the last week and a half, so we've been at home a lot. We're spending lots of time with books and toys, and I'm also staying busy by trying to get some spring cleaning done! I'm actually a big fan of cleaning- I just wish my kids didn't insist on following behind me and dirtying everything again quite so quickly! How do you feel about cleaning? Here's some interesting information on home cleaning that I received from Scrubbing Bubbles:
While some women will be turning to experts for cleaning advice (41 percent), many women will depend on their mother’s cleaning expertise. In fact, 81 percent of moms teach their daughters how to clean and 50 percent still ask mom for advice first!
According to the Scrubbing Bubbles® Dirty Work Index, a comprehensive national study, not only do women’s cleaning habits change as they experience major milestones in their lives, 42 percent said cleaning their home has become a bigger priority to them. Here are a few other top reasons why clean habits alter throughout life:
· Having children (81 percent of women ages 35-44)
· Buying a home (61 percent of women 25-34)
· Having children that are grown and moved out (52 percent of women 55-64)
· Getting engaged or married (36 percent of all women)
· Having a roommate (31 percent of women 18-24)
I thought that was pretty interesting, especially the fact that most people learned to clean from their moms. In my house, it was actually my dad that was the one who taught us to clean, so I'm in the minority. To help me with my cleaning, Scrubbing Bubbles sent me two of their great cleaning products, the Fresh Brush 2-in-1 and the Toilet Cleaning Gel.
Here's a bit about the Fresh Brush 2-in-1:
Scrubbing Bubbles® Fresh Brush® 2-in-1 makes toilet cleaning easy. Simply use the disposable Fresh Brush® MAX pads for thorough weekly cleanings and Fresh Brush® Flushables pads for daily touch-ups. The heavy-duty Fresh Brush® MAX toilet cleaner pads clean tough stains like hard water, lime scale, rust and more. Our new and improved Fresh Brush® Flushables feature active cleaners that work for days to loosen and clear away daily soils and stains. With both types of pad, there's no germy brush to store. And about the Toilet Cleaning Gel:
Scrubbing Bubbles® Toilet Cleaning Gel takes care of the tough work for you by preventing the build-up of lime scale and toilet rings. Simply use the dispenser to stamp a gel disc onto the inside of your toilet bowl. The discreet gel disc sits just under the rim. There's no need to touch the disc or the bowl with your hand, making Scrubbing Bubbles® Toilet Cleaning Gel more hygienic than traditional clip-on bowl cleaners.I am a HUGE fan of both of these products. The Fresh Brush is such a nice alternative to the dirty toilet brush that sits on the floor next to the toilet. That always grosses me out. The Fresh Brush is easy to use, both the heavy duty and flushables clean my toilet nicely, and there's no touching of any dirty parts or storing a dirty toilet brush.
The gel disc gradually dissolves with each flush, allowing a controlled release of cleaning solution and fragrance. Each disc lasts up to one week and leaves no residue behind. Your toilet bowl will remain cleaner, longer—with practically zero effort.
As for the Toilet Cleaning Gel, this product is one of my favorites. We have a weird bacteria in the air here that turns standing water pink. So our less-frequently-used bathroom is constantly getting a pink ring around the bowl, and I'm constantly having to clean it. Now, with the gel, I don't need to always be cleaning the toilet bowl- just flush occasionally and the cleaning gel keeps the bowl nice and clean! It works great on our master bathroom toilet as well, so I'm having to clean my toilet less often. Gives me more time to keep up with the messes my kids make elsewhere!
I have good news- one of you will win this same set of products that I received! Open to US mailing addresses only, please.
