KinderCare Summer Camp!

My son still has a month left of school (yes, we go late here in Seattle), but we're trying to make plans for the summer so that we're prepared when the end of June arrives. We're looking for activities that allow him to socialize and learn and have fun! Apparently we're not alone in these goals, according to a "Summer Fun" survey done by KinderCare of 1000 parents, these are the things that other parents are looking for as well:

KinderCare is ready to help us out with meeting these goals for our kids' summer vacation, with their Summer Camp program. KinderCare's Summer Camp is a 12-week program, with a different camp theme each week. Your child can attend one week or attend all 12 or anything in between! Themes include Wilderness 101, Dig Ancient Egypt, Kids' Kitchen, Splish Splash, Art Expo and many others as well.  The camps are for preschool/pre-K age kids through school age and camps run from May to August at KinderCare locations around the country. And to give you a taste of what to expect at the Kids' Kitchen camp, here's a recipe to try out!
Kids’ Kitchen Sample Activity
Vegetable Wraps
Ingredients (makes 4 servings):
2/3 cup cream cheese, softened
1 bag of sprouts from Growing Sprouts
1 ½ cups fresh carrots
1 red bell pepper
1 cup cucumber
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup canned or frozen corn (thawed, ifnecessary)
1 cup frozen edamame, thawed
4 flour tortillas

·         Clean and sanitize a counter or table in your kitchen.
·         Wash the carrots, pepper, and cucumber.
·         Grate the carrots into a bowl.
·         Thinly slice the pepper and cucumber and place them in separate bowls.
·         Place the corn, edamame, and shredded cheese in separate bowls.
·         Place a serving spoon in each bowl.
·         Place the cream cheese, bag of sprouts, bowls of vegetables, bowl of cheddar cheese, tortillas, measuring cups, and measuring spoons .
·         Spread cream cheese on your tortilla.
·         Place vegetables and cheese in a row down the center of your tortilla.
·         Top their vegetables with shredded cheese and sprouts.
·         Roll up your tortillas as tightly as possible to keep the vegetables inside.
·         Use a knife to cut the wraps in half.
