Giveaway closed, congrats to my winner, Mari
Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a new campaign from Pampers, called Little Miracle Mission. It's a special program about paying-it-forward and delivering random acts of kindness to new little miracles, mothers and parents nationwide. Right now, Mission 2 is underway, and it's called "Making a Father's Day". Here's a bit about it:
Let’s make a dad's first Father’s Day one he’ll never forget. The mission is to help give dads the time he and his baby deserve to bond. As it's so critical to his baby's development. Just by running some of his errands, covering his late meeting at work or helping him out with some chores at home can make room for some precious quality time with his little miracle. Pick one or one of your own and tell us how it goes.
Pampers' PledgeIf we get 4,000 commitments to complete the mission, Pampers will throw special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country designed to give dads and their babies valuable bonding time. It'll be a day to remember.
You can be a part of this program by logging on to the Pampers Facebook page, hitting 'like' and then going to the Miracle Missions tab to participate in the program.
In addition to helping out with this program by blogging about it here, Pampers challenged me to find a way to celebrate, support or protect a new little miracle in my community by donating a $50 American Express Gift Card to me. I used my card to help support Wellspring Family Services, a local organization that's working in Seattle and King County to support families in need. With the gift card, I was able to buy Pampers wipes and diapers, as well as some baby washes and shampoos. We'll be dropping it all off soon, along with some of my kids' gently used toys and clothes.
Do you have a great idea for helping a family or organization in your area? Pampers is letting me give away another $50 American Express gift card (open to US mailing addresses only). This is going to be a ONE DAY giveaway, so I need responses right away! Please, in a comment, just let me know what you would use the card for. I'll pick the entry that most touches my heart tomorrow (May 27) at 2 PM Pacific time and will email the person with the winning idea. That person will have 48 hours to respond!
Disclosure: I received a gift card to purchase items for a worthy organization. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
