In my four years of buying diapers, I've purchased and used many different brands on the kids. But for some reason, I never got around to trying Seventh Generation diapers. That situation finally got remedied recently, thanks to Seventh Generation and MyBlogSpark! I was sent a package of a new diaper from Seventh Generation, the Free & Clear diaper. Here's a bit about these diapers, from information that I received:
Congrats to my winner: lara N.
What Seventh Generation leaves out is just as important as what they put in. Free & Clear diapers do not include chlorine processing, fragrances, latex and petroleum based lotions. In an effort to contribute less overall landfill waste and continue to ensure a premium standard of absorbency, the new Free & Clear diapers have been redesigned with a lighter-weight core. With processed chlorine-free wood pulp in Free & Clear diapers, Seventh Generation also makes certain that no chlorine is released into the environment during the totally chlorine-free (TCF) whitening process of the diapers and training pants.
Seventh Generation has also reduced the size of the diapers’ plastic packaging, meaning that each pack now contributes even less overall landfill waste than before. In fact, Seventh Generation Free & Clear diaper packaging can now be recycled at local supermarkets where plastic bag recycling collection boxes are available.

I'm a little sad that I didn't get around to trying Seventh Generation diapers before this, they're great! When I first opened the package, my first reaction was surprise at how soft the diapers are. I expected them to be rougher, since they don't have all the chlorine processing and lotions that we've gotten used to from other diapers. You can't tell that these things are missing though, the Free & Clear diapers are nice and soft. Judging from Vivian's reaction to the diapers, she agrees that they're soft and comfortable!
The absorbency of the Free & Clear diapers is great too. We were out and about for long periods of time this past Saturday, and I didn't always get around to changing Vivian as often as I would normally. She never complained about her diaper being uncomfortable, and we had no issues with leaks or messes.
The only minor issue that Vivian had with the diapers is that there aren't any cartoon characters or pictures on them, like she's gotten used to. This confused her a little at first, but she adjusted without too much trouble :) I will definitely be buying Seventh Generation diapers in the future!
