Review- Clue: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Edition

July 15th is finally here- has anyone out there seen the new Harry Potter movie yet?  I'm anxious to see it, but I have to wait a couple of weeks until my kids' babysitter is back from her vacation.  The moment she's free, Daniel and I are hightailing it to the theater! If you're a big Harry Potter fan like I am, and you want to bring some Harry Potter fun into your home, I've got a great new game to tell you about from Hasbro.  It's Clue: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Edition. Here's some information, from a press release that I received:
On July 15th Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley will grace the big screen for the last time, but that doesn't mean the fun ends there! Take the action of the movie home with Clue: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Edition  a bewitching mystery that has players exploring the halls of Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest, the Ministry of Magic and beyond. A Hogwarts student has gone missing and it's your job to uncover the mystery. Where did the attack occur? Who did it? Which weapon or spell did they use? Players take on the identity of their favorite Harry Potter character and then race to decipher clues, uncover secrets and solve the mystery of the missing student!
I was really excited to get this game-so much so that I demanded Daniel play it with me right away, even though we didn't have a third person on hand.  Setting up the game just took a few minutes, and then we were ready to play.  It took a couple of read-throughs of the instructions to figure out all the rules. There are a few things to keep straight- floo powder, help cards, two dice, dark marks, doors that open and close and fireplaces that are lit and unlit- but we still thought it was easy to get the hang of things.

Daniel and I really enjoyed Clue: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Edition, and we can't wait to play with friends and family.  Really, how could you go wrong with the fabulous combination of Clue and Harry Potter!  If you're a fan of Harry Potter and are looking for a great new game for family game night, definitely check this one out! Disclosure: I received a copy of this game to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
