We start with the best mint in the world. Real mint. Fresh, flavorful, pesticide-free mint grown in Washington State's Yakima Valley. We treat the mint using a double-distillation process that steams the leaves until we reach the true essence of the mint. We test for taste, and then test again for purity. My sample pack contained most of the flavors of Metromint that are currently available, including peppermint, spearmint, chocolatemint, lemonmint, and orangemint. Also available are the cherrymint and goodberrymint flavors. Out of the ones that I tried, I liked the lemonmint and the orangemint the most, although I found all of the flavors to be tasty, refreshing and cooling. My husband wasn't a fan of the peppermint or spearmint flavors, saying they reminded him too much of mouthwash, but he enjoyed the varieties that had another flavor in addition to the mint, like the orange, lemon and chocolatemint varieties.
Our water is purified using reverse-osmosis, a process that saves all the good stuff and filters out the bad, including salts, impurities, and particles as small as an ion. What's left is a blank canvas, so that we can showcase the taste of mint.
When it comes to Metromint, our dedication to purity is so high we couldn't trust just anyone to bottle Metromint. So we bought our own bottling plant and converted it to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Every bottle that rolls off the Metromint bottling line is laser etched with an honest, easy-to-read freshness date stamp.
This is definitely a water that I will pick up again in the stores, especially on a hot day. The mint really does a nice job of making the water taste very refreshing. And I love the fact that the water is free of sugars and sweeteners, but still manages to have a great flavor. If you're looking for a cooling beverage on a hot summer day, definitely check out Metromint water!
Disclosure: Thanks to Metromint and Klout, I received this water to try out for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
