This week I was over at Etsy looking at a shirt that a friend had posted on Facebook:
Isn't that adorable? I'm gearing up to run my first 10K in a month (eek!), and am thinking that seeing my cute daughter wearing this on the sidelines might give me some much needed motivation.
Then I went from looking at this shirt to looking at other running related items. And there are many! A bit of backstory- thanks to motivation from a bunch of online and real-life friends, last summer I did the couch to 5K program. Since then I've run four 5Ks. As I keep telling people, if I, having never run a step in my life, and being overweight, can do this- well then anyone can!
Anyway, here are the other items that caught my attention and made their way into my wish list or shopping basket.
I actually bought that shirt- even though I run and I know it's important and good for me, it is kind of awful sometimes, and this shirt made me smile.
The bib display is at the top of my wish list. Right now my old bibs are in a box, but I love this idea of displaying them to remind myself of what I've already accomplished!
Seriously, is there any question as to why I love that necklace?
And, finally, jewelry to celebrate what has been accomplished. Etsy has tons of necklaces and charms celebrating all sorts of race distances. Since I'm (hopefully) doing a 10K next, I fell in love with this necklace.
If you're a runner, or if you know a woman who is, check out Etsy for some really unique and beautiful runner's gifts!
