Book review: Night Night Blessings

Thanks to the Booksneeze blogger book review program, we recently added another fabulous children's book to our home library.  It's called Night Night Blessings, and it's by the same author and illustrator who brought us A Night Night Prayer and A Christmas Prayer. Here's a bit about this book:
Whether it’s Mommy’s goodnight kisses, Grandpa’s comfy lap, or pancakes stacked THIS high, there are so many blessings to count before bed! Written in rhyme and coupled with adorable illustrations, this follow up book to best-selling Night Night Prayer will be an instant bedtime hit.

Ethan and Vivian agree with me that this book is a great one.  They love sitting on my lap and looking at all of the beautiful illustrations while I read them the story. The book follows a child who is getting ready for bed and who is being thankful for all the blessings, big and small in her life. It's a nice way to introduce the idea of thankfulness to your child and have a discussion about what they want to thank God for.

The book itself is a padded board book with thick pages that hold up well to being touched by little hands.  It's easy to hold on to and easy for the kids to turn the pages.  All in all, this is a beautiful book and would make a lovely gift for any young child.

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself, thanks to the Booksneeze program. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
