Review: Mission Organics Tortilla Chips

As I've mentioned many times here on this blog, I'm not much of a cook. So when I get invited to BBQs or summer picnics, I'm always the first one signing up to bring chips and dip. Recently I was introduced to a type of chips that I was not familiar with- Mission Organics Tortilla Chips. Here's a bit about these chips, from a press release that I received:

Available in three distinct varieties – Blue Corn, White Corn and Multigrain—Mission Organics Tortilla Chips contain quality ingredients and meet the standards set by the USDA National Organic Program. Mission Certified Organics Tortilla Chips start off as masa made from organically grown corn. The tortillas are cooked in organic oil and topped with fresh sea salt for a traditional taste.
“We crafted Mission Organics Tortilla Chips with the organic eater in mind,” said Lola Copeland, director of innovation at Mission Foods. “These chips are the perfect accompaniment to homemade salsa and guacamole made fresh from organic ingredients straight from the farmer’s market.”
These chips are made with ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. I love eating locally-made products and I love tortilla chips, so this is a win-win for me! My whole family thought these chips were really delicious and I think we made it through the first bag in record time! I will definitely be picking up more of these chips for all of my summer BBQ and party needs.  Right now these chips are available in the Seattle and Portland area, at select Safeway, Haggen, QFC and Fred Meyer.

And if you're looking for some creative new ways to enjoy your tortilla chips- check out these great ideas! Tortillas on ice cream? Sounds delicious to me!

Disclosure: I received samples of these chips to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
