Book reviews: New from Sasquatch Books

My kids have a couple of fun new books in their reading library this week, thanks to Seattle's own Sasquatch Books. The first book to arrive is one featuring some familiar characters- Pete and Larry from Larry Gets Lost in Seattle! This new book is a board book called Larry Loves Seattle.
My kids also love Seattle and all its special landmarks, so they had a great time going through this book and listening to me read it while they identified the places they know and love.  This book is a fun little Seattle tour!

The second book to arrive was a very different one in style, but equally as fabulous.  It's called Sea Star Wishes: Poems from the Coast.

This lovely collection of poems is accompanied by beautiful illustrations of the sealife and surrounding being described in the poems.  The combination of the two makes you feel like you're standing on the beach yourself, admiring all there is to see.  This book is a fun way to introduce kids to both poetry and some of the creatures of the coast!

So, if you're looking for a new book or two, check these out!

Disclosure: I received copies of these books to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
