Seattle Children's Theatre presents Adventures with Spot!

Last night my family had a really fun outing to the Seattle Children's Theatre to check out its newest show- Adventures with Spot! Here's a bit about it, from the SCT website:

Spot is an imaginative and enthusiastic puppy who delights in the simplest of things, from playing hide-and-seek to receiving mail. Based on Eric Hill’s popular picture books, Spot and his friends show kindness and character through their adventures. Young children will identify with Spot’s love of his family and his desire for comfort, and he just may encourage the rest of us to take a fresh look at life.

This show is designed for kids ages 2-7, and, judging by the reactions of my kids and the other kids in the theatre, they all loved it! The show does a wonderful job of bringing the classic "lift the flap" books to life with fun music, great acting and lots of silliness. At several points in the show, I thought my son (and my husband as well!) were going to pass out from laughing so hard. On the way home, Ethan (who is almost 6) informed me that he was the winner and enjoyed the show the most of anyone in the theatre.  The show is an hour and 15 minutes long, with one intermission. I thought this was a good length for little kids and would be a great way to introduce them to live theatre.  Adventures with Spot is being shown in the smaller of the two SCT theaters, which I think was a great choice, since you're up close to the action.

A lot of the Adventures with Spot shows are already sold out, but if you have the opportunity to go, get tickets and do so!

Disclosure: My family received tickets to review this show for ourselves.  We were not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are ours and ours alone.
