It's cold this week in Seattle. For us, at least. Averaging 25 degrees, which means we're all staring at each other in confusion and saying "it's so cold!" and going in search of more warm clothing. And my family has been spending our non-school time indoors, trying to stay warm. One of the activities that my kids have most enjoyed this week has been watching a new DVD that we recently received- Tom and Jerry: Mouse Trouble. Here's a bit about this DVD, from a press release that I received:
Join the favorite cat and mouse duo in Tom and Jerry: Mouse Trouble, a collection of shorts comprised of some of the funniest episodes from Tom and Jerry Tales and classic, theatrical Tom and Jerry shorts. Each cartoon is filled with fur-flying, action-packed chases, schemes and pranks that will delight kids and their parents time and time again. Look at what the cat and mouse dragged in! Included in this all-new, expansive collection is the Academy Award®–winning (Best Short Subject: Cartoon) Mouse Trouble, which has Tom following the ill-fated advice of a book on how to catch mice.
This DVD is over three hours long, on 2 disks. But what I like is that the episodes are each pretty short, so I can let my kids watch parts of this DVD without a lot of drama when I say they are done, since they don't get cut off mid-episode. There's been lots of laughter while the kids watch- they really enjoy all the silliness of Tom and Jerry. If you have a Tom and Jerry fan in your house, this is a great DVD to pick up! It's available for purchase on February 18.
