Last Saturday was a miserably rainy one here in Seattle, which clearly meant that some shopping was in order. Vivian had a birthday party to attend, so it was just Ethan and I that loaded up in the car to head up to our nearest Kohl's store. I was on a mission to find items on sale at Kohl's that could help me spring clean! We shopped at the store in Lynnwood, but if you're in the Seattle area, there's now a new store open at the Commons in Federal Way as well!
After perusing the racks of clothes (can't miss an opportunity to do that) and looking at the spring home decor and the toy section (I was shopping with a 6-year-old, after all), we ended up in the home care section. Specifically in the vacuum section. I have a home with four small floors, and our bulky vacuum is kept in the basement, since that's where the one closet in our house is. This is an issue because I also have hardwood floors and two cats and two small kids, so my floors are constantly covered in crumbs and fur.
So I was in the market for something to help me keep my floors clean, and I found several items (on sale!) that were perfect. I picked up a Shark Cordless Pet Perfect II (on sale for 62.99, down from 69.99) and a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser (on sale for 53.99, down from 59.99). These have been great for helping clean the little messes in the kitchen and living room and are both so portable. The Shark is going to be great for cleaning my car too, since it's easy to take outside!
In addition to my new vacuums, I also decided that the air in our home could use some freshening up. For this I picked up a great little light/wax warmer and a selection of scented wax cubes. All half off! I love this little wax warmer- it just plugs into my kitchen outlet and slowly melts the wax cubes, making everything smell fresher! And for fueling me for my spring cleaning, I also grabbed a variety pack of K-cups (love trying new flavors), which was marked down from 39.99 to 35.99.
Since Ethan had been such a patient shopper while I toured the entire store, I let him pick up two items as well. They were both from the Kohl's Cares section. I love this section- it has items on sale for just $5 each, and the money goes to fund scholarships or other charity projects.
At check-out, I unloaded my purchases and the very friendly cashier made sure that I was signed up for the Kohl's rewards program, so that I could earn rewards for my shopping. Right now, Kohl's is offering $10 in Kohl's cash for every $50 spent (through March 16). So I walked away with $30 in Kohl's cash in my pocket for my next trip. This shopping expedition was definitely a win-win all around.
And I have great news- I have a $100 gift card to share with one lucky reader! Open to US mailing addresses, enter at the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
