Book review: Made With Dad

*Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

It's summer vacation, which means the kids and Mommy are spending lots and lots of time together. We've actually been having a really good time and so far we're all still enjoying the break from school. Daddy doesn't get to have quite as much fun with the kids, since he has that job to go to every day. Someone has to fund the kids' Lego purchases! We recently received a new book designed to help Daddy make fun memories with the kids when he is home, called Made with Dad: From Wizards' Wands to Japanese Dolls, Craft Projects to Build, Make and Do with Your Kids.

The book arrived during the day, and by the time Daniel got home from work in the evening, Ethan had picked out about 20 projects for him and Daddy to do together and had earmarked several for Vivian and Daddy as well. This book is great- it's full of easy projects for kids and dads to do together. Ideas range from a fluffy ladybug to plastic bag donuts to felt paper chromatography. There are science projects and costume ideas and holiday crafts. So many great ideas that you will be able to find something for everyone's ability level.  I love that each project is presented with great photos, step-by-step instructions and detailed assembly drawings.

This is a very cool book with great ideas- pick up a copy for your family and get busy creating!
