Holiday Gift Guide 2015: (Book) The Snoopy Treasures

*Disclosure: I received this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

My 8-year-old son, Ethan, is a HUGE fan of Snoopy and Charlie Brown. In fact, most afternoons after homework find him playing in our living room with his sister, where he is generally pretending to actually be Snoopy. He loves the books, the old shows, the new movie and his Snoopy stuffed animals. The newest addition to his Snoopy collection may be the best yet- it's an amazing new book called The Snoopy Treasures: A Celebration of the World Famous Beagle. Here's a bit about it, from a press release that I received:

This comprehensive guide is divided into 12 sections covering Snoopy’s origins, his alter egos from Joe Cool to the Flying Ace, his family at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, his friends in the beloved Peanuts gang, and his prevalence in pop culture – in songs, movies, books, plays, parades, museums, and even NASA, who named a lunar landing module after him as they prepared to put man on the moon in 1969.
Each page features original Peanuts panels, side-by-side comparisons showing the evolution of Snoopy into the universally recognizable style we know today, photographs from the Schulz museum, and ten pieces of pullout memorabilia: an original Schulz drawing, a Snoopy baseball pennant (popular dorm d├ęcor in the 60s and 70s), a letter from President Ronald Reagan to Schulz, a bookmark, a bumper sticker, a punch out model of the Red Baron’s plane, the last Peanuts strip ever printed, and more.

If there's anything that you've ever wanted to know about Snoopy, the answer to your question is surely found inside this book. It's so thorough and has tons of stories and drawings about Snoopy and all his friends and family. This is a large book with nice, thick paper and colorful photos. It's something that you will definitely want to show off. My favorite feature are the envelopes throughout the book with various items inside like pictures and bookmarks and more! One picture is of Snoopy in sports gear, which I'm going to frame for Ethan, since he adores sports about as much as he does Snoopy.  This book is absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend it highly enough for the Snoopy fan in your life!
